Lansing Regional Chamber Welcomes New Members to 2018 Board of Directors

The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) is pleased to welcome five new members to the LRCC 2018 Board of Directors. They are: Glenn Granger (Granger Construction), Michelle Massey (Dewpoint), Joe Ruth (Sparrow), Mike Zamaira (Niowave), and Kevin Zielke (AF Group).

Glenn Granger is President and CEO of Granger Construction, a Lansing-based company with 135 employees that specializes in design and build, construction management, and general contracting services. Founded in 1959, Granger Construction annually delivers approximately 400 million in construction services to health care, education, government and commercial and industrial customers throughout the United States. In addition to Lansing, the firm has regional offices in Grand Rapids and Novi, Michigan and most recently in Columbus, Ohio. An active volunteer in local, regional and statewide programs, Glenn presently serves on the boards of the Sparrow Foundation and Alma College. He is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional and past president of the Associated General Contractors Michigan Chapter and the Greater Lansing Building Exchange.

Michelle Massey serves as a vice president for Dewpoint. With more than 25 years of information technology industry experience, Massey has extensive experience in proposal development, business operations and corporate planning and support. Her current responsibilities include business development, marketing and charitable contributions. Massey manages Dewpoint’s overall brand and the organization’s corporate image through marketing, public relations and community involvement. Prior to joining Dewpoint in 2006, Massey worked at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) where she was responsible for business and proposal development. A strong supporter of the Lansing region, Massey sits on boards for Ele’s Place, Wharton Center and Michigan State University Museum.

Joseph J. Ruth is the executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sparrow Health System. Ruth joined Sparrow in 2007 as the senior vice president and chief strategy officer and has served as the COO since 2010 having responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Health System, specifically Sparrow Medical Group, Sparrow Care Network, Physician Health Plan and Sparrow Community Hospitals (Clinton, Ionia, and Carson City). Ruth is also responsible for the corporate service functions including finance, human resources, information technology, strategic planning and development. Sparrow is the region’s leading tertiary care facility, located in Lansing, Michigan, and serves the healthcare needs of the greater Mid-Michigan region.

Kevin Zielke serves as general counsel and senior vice president for AF Group, which is a premier provider of innovative insurance solutions licensed throughout the United States and committed to leading the industry with superior underwriting and exceptional medical management strategies. AF Group has 1,200 employees and writes in excess of $1.2 billion in direct written premiums. Zielke is responsible for all legal operations of the company and its subsidiaries. He has authored numerous publications in his field and has served as a speaker for industry related programs throughout the country. Zielke is involved with the State Bar of Michigan and the Detroit Metropolitan and American Bar Associations.

Mike Zamiara is the chief financial officer at Niowave, Inc. Zamiara has more than 30 years of experience in various roles in regulated industries. Zamiara joined Niowave in 2015. He is also an owner of two additional businesses – CleanStart Surgical, LLC, a medical device manufacturing company that focuses on technologies used to clean medical instruments and Integrated Systems Consultants, a technology company focused on providing technology and communication solutions to middle market businesses that have multiple locations. In his spare time Zamiara continues to serve on the endowment committee of Highfields, Inc. – a not-for-profit that provides a wide array of counseling, intervention, training and support services to children, youth, parents and families throughout Michigan.
