The Lansing Regional Chamber is the voice of business for the Greater Lansing region. Our Government Relations Department is focused on leading advocacy efforts to support the overall business climate in our community. And that mission is simple: Keep you connected and advocate on your behalf.

We do that by building and strengthening those key relationships with policymakers who are implementing decisions at the local, county, state, and federal levels; those decisions may have a major impact on your business. And that’s why our job is to influence those decisions by leading and executing a policy agenda that focuses on our members’ guiding principles - our shared vision to take the Greater Lansing region to the next level.

As the driving business advocacy organization in the region, we are concentrated on keeping you informed by:

• Staying abreast of business issues and communicating the business perspective to elected officials
• Monitoring political activity at the local, county, state, and federal level to know when business intervention is needed
• Tracking the voting record of elected officials and whether they support pro-business legislation
• Helping to elect candidates who understand key business issues
• Support regional cooperation between communities to reduce costs and maximize efficiencies in the Greater Lansing region
